It is with great pride that we announce Karen Teves-Frazier, DNP, MA, PMHNP-BC, FNP- BC, LPC , earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Hawai'i Pacific University on May 10, 2026.

Dr. Teves-Frazier's doctoral work culminated in the evidence-based practice project, "Identifying Patients with Sleep Apnea Using the STOP-Bang in an Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic."

The project focused on identifying psychiatric patients at increased risk for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) - an often underrecognized condition that may contribute to or exacerbate symptoms such as depression, anxiety, fatigue, impaired concentration, and sleep disturbance.

Dr. Teves-Frazier continues her clinical practice at the Behavioral Medical Center - Troy, providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment to patients from age 6 through adulthood.
